Does your child point to toys or other things that he likes?
Does your child look you in the eyes to silently express his wants and needs?
Does your child make eye contact to "request" you continue a fun activity like singing or pat-a-cake?
Does your child look across the room at something to which you point?
Does your child engage in "joint attention", meaning they engage in transactional play and look at the toy and back at you?
If your child is not consistently demonstrating these skills let your pediatrician know. Social skill milestones are essential for good interaction, communication and cognitive development. TLV2023
